Very obscure noise-rock / post-no wave group from Chicago. Moved to New York around 1982 or 1983, underwent some lineup changes, and busted apart. Three of them got back together as Of Cabbages and Kings circa 1986.
The main players were: Algis Kizys (pre-Swans; pre-Of Cabbages and Kings; pre-Foetus; pre-Glenn Branca; post-Problem Dogs); Carolyn Master (pre-Of Cabbages and Kings; pre-Glenn Branca); Diane Wlezien (pre-Of Cabbages and Kings); Gaylene Goudreau (post-Da!); a drummer named Peter.
There's this fantastic 7", 'Lark's Vomit b/w Instrumental', and a song on a tape compilation. Angry female vocals, corrosive guitars, and a very solid, almost prog-influenced rhythm section. Lo-fi recording, no picture sleeve on the single. Supposedly a rather formidable live act after they came to New York. [SOURCE: ELECTRICAL AUDIO]
