Die Haut were a German Post-Punk band from Berlin. The band originally planned to play strictly instrumental music. But during their career they recorded much of their music with guest vocalists. The only constant member was Christoph Dreher who worked also as author, director and filmmaker. Guest vocalists live and on recordings include: Nick Cave, Kid Congo Powers, Anita Lane, Debbie Harry, Mick Harvey, Jeffrey Lee Pierce, Blixa Bargeld, Lydia Lunch, Alexander Hacke, Arto Lindsay, Kim Gordon, Cristina Martinez, Laurie Tomin, Alan Vega, Louisa Bradshaw, Danielle de Picciotto and others.
