Something definitely did go wrong here, the greetings of the saxophone on "Innocenti" lead to the problem right away. The production is glossy and cheesy which doesn't work well with cool post-punk music. You can still pull out moments of greatness from these recordings, their roundhouse (call / answer) style of clever vocals are still amusing. Musically they are no slouches either with unusually timed drumming that leads to a funkier edge and of course some cool bass work and jagged guitar lines. This is Delta 5's one and only full album sadly and poor sales broke the band up. Their biggest hit "Mind Your Own Business" isn't even on here, but "Anticipation", "Trail", "Telephone" and "Waiting" are and they are wonderful (even in worse versions). It's too bad that such a fantastic band had such poor treatment, that is probably the only reason they weren't more popular at the time because everything else lines up brilliantly.
