The Embarrassment ‎– Death Travels West [LP] (1983, Fresh Sounds Inc)

This utterly forgotten mini-album by The Embarrassment was a worthwhile addition to the post-punk circus. "Careen" delivered a highly neurotic and danceable cowpunk, as if a mixture of Polyrock and Certain General. "Viewmaster" was more toned down country-punk, but the magnified power-pop of "Drive Me To The Park" more than made up for it. "Lewis & Clark" further upped the anxiety levels, echoed by the maniacal guitar in "D-Rings", and the bouncing around of "Hip And Well Read". [SOURCE: RATE YOUR MUSIC]
